Italian Serie A giants Juventus want to rescue Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez from his nightmarish start to his Old Trafford career.
According to the publication from popular Italian transfer news outlet Calciomercato, Juventus want to sign the Chilean international forward this summer.
Alexis Sanchez has endured a frustrating career at Old Trafford since his transfer to the club from Arsenal last year.
The former Udinese player spent three-and-a-half years with the Gunners before joining Manchester United in a swap deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the other direction.
Alexis Sanchez signed a four-year deal at Manchester United until the end of the 2021/22 season with weekly wages of around £500,000 including add-ons but the 30-year-old has not been able to live up to the expectations at the Theatre of Dreams.
He has scored just five goals in 41 games for Manchester United since his transfer from Arsenal in January 2018.
Alexis Sanchez has found the back of the net just two times this season in all competitions.
He’s currently out until next month with the injury he sustained during the Red Devils’ 3-2 comeback win over Southampton last month.
Alexis Sanchez played 52 minutes before he was substituted for Diogo Dalot as a result of the injury.
