Merseyside outfit Liverpool have got a number of players flying high in good form which keeps them in a better position to land individual awards at the end of the season.
While Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has not been the player he was last season in terms of goal scoring, he has been impressive enough and manager Jurgen Klopp is satisfied with his performance.
Reds defender Virgil Van Dijk has been in fine form since the start of the season with suggestions that he would be in the contest for the PFA player of the year while Sadio Mane has taken a leading role in lifting the Jurgen Klopp team so far this season.
However, it has been suggested by Man City Richard Dunne that England international Raheem Sterling will land the award ahead of the Liverpool stars, noting that the star player is currently enjoying a fine run this season.
So far this season, Raheem Sterling has scored a total of 19 goals across all competitions with four more to beat his own personal record.
Meanwhile, the battle for the Premier League title is between the two clubs as Man City are top in the league table while the Reds are second.
