English Premier League outfit Liverpool are reportedly set to hijack a deal for Ajax Hakim Ziyech ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

A report according to Bleacher via Leicester Mercury revealed that the Reds team were not initially in the race for Hakim Ziyech as the likes of AS Roma, Borussia Dortmund, and Leicester City were ahead but manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to hijack the deal.

Hakim Ziyech has been impressive so far this season and he was a major part of the Ajax team that knocked out Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. His performance had caught the attention of the football world with top English sides gunning to land his signature.

So far this season, Hakim Ziyech is the best Ajax player, having scored a total of 19 goals across all competitions with 15 assists, what happens to be his best season in Holland since joining the club in 2016.

However, it is not clear what the club will demand from the Merseyside outfit but Hakim Ziyech is expected to cost the Premier League side double of the £10 million fee they paid to FC Twente when he first joined in 2016.
