North London giants Arsenal will have to fend off the threat of German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in their quest to sign highly-rated Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.
The interest of Borussia Dortmund in Tierney was revealed by popular media outlet The Sun.
It was also revealed that fellow Premier League side Leicester City are also keen on a transfer for the Scottish international left-back when the transfer window reopens this summer.
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Tierney whom he worked with at Scottish champions Celtic.
The Foxes have an exciting first choice left-back in Ben Chilwell but the Three Lions of England defender is courting interest from Premier League champions Manchester City and Kieran Tierney could be his replacement at the King Power Stadium.
Kieran Tierney was part of the Celtic team that won a treble in each of the last two seasons under Brendan Rodgers.
Former Liverpool and Swansea City manager Rodgers left Celtic to take up the managerial job at Leicester City at the end of last month.
He will have to see off Arsenal for the right to sign the aforementioned Tierney.
Arsenal and manager Unai Emery have identified a new left-back as a top priority ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
