Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt seems to have confirmed interest from English Premier League side Liverpool and would be ready to consider the deal as long as certain conditions are met.

The star player has been linked with a move to sacral clubs including Real Madrid but his club have been reluctant to part ways with him despite receiving offers in the last winter transfer window.

Matthijs de Ligt who admits being interested in a move to Anfield stated that he would love to play football with the Reds central defender Virgil van Dijk as they are both teammates in their Netherlands national team.

The 19-year-old hailed Virgil van Dijk as that player who has got may abilities as well as the experience in the top leagues that will, in turn, help him develop.

Matthijs de Ligt, therefore, gave the big hint that the only condition to join the Merseyside outfit will be to play alongside the former Southampton defender.

The Ajax defender is known all over Europe for his impressive performance especially when his side faced Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

However, there are no assurances that the Ajax team will have Matthijs de Ligt leave the club anytime soon.
