Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager Thomas Tuchel has leaped to the defense of star player Neymar after his rant on Instagram in the wake of his side’s collapse against Manchester United.

Neymar showed his disgust via his Instagram stories at the late and controversial penalty awarded to Manchester United in their Champions League last 16-second leg clash.

Thomas Tuchel defended Brazilian superstar Neymar in his post-match press conference after the game as he revealed that his emotions got the better of him.

Centre referee Damir Skomina of Slovenia penalized PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe for handball in the box In added time with the help of VAR and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford stepped up to dispatch the penalty and send his side into the quarters.

The penalty from Rashford gave Manchester United a 3-1 win over hosts PSG and that was enough to seal a last eight spot via the away goal rules.

Romelu Lukaku made it six goals in three games for Manchester with a brace against PSG either side of the lone goal for the home side from Juan Bernat.

Lukaku’s goals gave Manchester United a 2-1 lead at halftime.

Manchester United had lost the first leg 2-0 and also had up to 11 players out injured or suspended including star player Paul Pogba who was sent off in the leg after two yellow cards.
