The Tottenham Hotspur duo of Jan Vertonghen and Harry Winks are doubtful for the all-important North London Derby (NLD) clash with Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
Tottenham host rivals Arsenal at the Wembley Stadium in a Matchweek 29 clash in the Premier League and they could be without Jan Vertonghen and Harry Winks.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that both players are major doubts for the second league meeting of the season between the two North London giants.
The two players are struggling with hip problems.
Pochettino gave the injury update on the two players during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the game.
The Argentine tactician also revealed that he’s not sure whether the duo of Dele Alli and Eric Dier will be fit for the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie with German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Spurs lead 3-0 from the first leg at the Wembley Stadium last month.
Dele Alli is in the final stages of his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury, while Dier has Tonsillitis.
Arsenal have a big opportunity to secure a win at the home of their rivals thereby making it a double league triumph over Spurs this season.
A win would take the Gunners to within one point from Tottenham.
