Ousmane Dembele Described As A Genius
Barcelona legend Andreas Iniesta has described forward Ousmane Dembele as a genius before adding that the young French winger can become a key player for his former club.
2010 FIFA World Cup winning goal recipient Iniesta showered high praises on Ousmane Dembele in an interview with DAZN.
Dembele has recovered from a bad start at Barcelona to become an important player for the Blaugrana having moved to the Nou Camp from German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
Barcelona paid an initial fee of €105m to secure his signature from Borussia Dortmund at the start of last season.
He was unable to show his quality for Barcelona in his first season at the club because of his injury.
The 21-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League while he was struggling at Barcelona with clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal mentioned as a possible transfer destination for him.
Dembele injured his hamstring in his first week as a Barcelona player and that ruled him out of action for three months.
The said injury hampered his growth last season but he has been able to live up to his hefty price tag in this campaign with 13 goals scored in 31 games for Barcelona in all competitions this term.
