The Merseyside outfit Liverpool have been tipped to be winners of the English Premier League and the Champions League this season, by ESPN pundit Steve Nicol.

The Reds are close to winning the English League this season as they are currently fourth in the table as well as being in the knockout stage of the Champions League.

It would also be recalled that the Reds team under manager Jurgen Klopp came close to winning the two titles last season but they finished behind Man City in the league while they were defeated by Real Madrid in the finals of the Champions League.

However, ESPN pundit expresses confidence that the Jurgen Klopp team will land the two titles because they are well equipped with the right players.

He noted the attacking force which consists of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane is enough to hand the trophy while Virgil Van Dijk with his partners in the defence have proved they are up to the task.

Meanwhile, Liverpool face a major contest from Pep Guardiola’s Man City side who are just a point behind and are pose to winning the Premier League as well.

The Reds are also in the knock-out stage of the Champions League and will play the second leg after a first-leg draw against Bayern Munich.
