A former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly in talks with Leicester City for the vacant job after Celtic ‘reluctantly’ gave him the permission to do so.

The foxes parted ways with their manager Claude Puel on Sunday after suffering some negative results in the course of the season.

Brendan Rodgers has been in charge of Celtic since 2016, leading them to the title twice and they are currently eight points clear of second-placed Rangers which gives them hope of another win this season with few games to go.

However, Brendan Rodgers is reportedly seeking a return to the Premier League and an offer from the former EPL champions will be too difficult to turn down.

Rangers manager and former Liverpool star Steven Gerrard has backed Brendan Rodgers to move to the Premier league, noting that the Premier League has been a big factor to the manager.

Meanwhile, the Foxes will only secure the signature of a manager who will take charge of the club on a permanent basis without any consideration for an interim manager.

Brendan Rodgers has therefore been tipped to make good success at Leicester City knowing that he has got the experience in the English Premier League.
