Arsenal are reportedly plotting a move for River Plate midfielder Juan Quintero ahead of the resumption of the transfer window in the summer.
According to Don Balon, Arsenal manager Unai Emery has identified the Colombian international star as a top transfer target for the summer.
Juan Quintero could be the direct replacement for Mesut Ozil who has endured a frustrating spell at Arsenal since Unai Emery was appointed the Gunners boss last summer.
Unai Emery replaced long-serving manager Arsene Wenger at the start of this season after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Ozil has struggled for consistency under Unai Emery who has in turn dropped him for a lot of the Arsenal games this season.
The ex-German international playmaker could leave the club in the summer especially with the huge salary that the player is on at the club.
He signed a new contract in February 2018 to make him the highest paid earner in the history of Arsenal.
The German playmaker put pen to paper on a three-year deal until the end of the 2020/21 season with reported weekly wages of £350,000.
The Gunners will do well to move him on if he’s not seen as an Arsenal regular by Unai Emery.
