Chelsea legend John Terry has spoken of the incidence that happened in the Carabao Cup finals between his former side and Man City on Sunday.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was left furious after Kepa Arrizabalaga refused to be substituted for Willy Caballero even when the call was made from the touchline. He went ahead to save Leroy Sane’s penalty along the game but he was unable to stop the Citizens from becoming champions of the Carabao Cup.
Just after the game, against what was expected, the Blues boss refused to criticize the player as he made it clear that what happened on the pitch was a misunderstanding and it has already been settled.
However, John Terry who was a pundit on Sky Sports reveals that the Blues boss has a way of protecting his players in public and that is what happened with his defence of Kepa.
Howbeit, the Chelsea legend criticized the action of the goalkeeper, adding that the Italian manager should have insisted on him leaving the pitch because the world was watching.
John Terry noted that he would not have accepted such action if he were to be the boss especially with Chelsea as a big club which is looked upon by other smaller teams.
