When Ex-Arsenal Striker Will Decide Chelsea Future Revealed
Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will reportedly decide his future at Chelsea after the managerial situation at the club is clearer.
Giroud left Arsenal for London rivals Chelsea at the start of last year in a deal said to be around £18m.
The Frenchman signed an 18-month contract at Chelsea meaning that his current deal will expire this summer.
According to French media outlet Le 10 Sport, Olivier Giroud will wait for the Blues managerial situation to become clearer before deciding whether to stay or leave England.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was appointed the Blues boss at the start of the season but his position at the club is under serious scrutiny following the recent run of results especially away from home in the Premier League.
Chelsea have conceded a whopping 12 goals in the last three Premier League games away from home.
Reports claim that Maurizio Sarri could even be sacked if the Blues lose to holders Manchester City in their Carabao Cup final clash.
They were thrashed 6-0 by the Citizens in their last league game and that has made Manchester City heavy favourites ahead of the game scheduled for Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Giroud would be hoping that he could play a part in the Carabao Cup game.
He is attracting interest from the MLS and France according to the aforementioned publication.
