North London giants Arsenal have been drawn to face French club Rennes in the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League (UEL) after the draws were held earlier on Friday afternoon.
The first leg will take place at the Emirates Stadium on the 7th of March before the return leg in France on March 14.
Arsenal qualified for this stage with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Belarusian side BATE Borisov in their last 32 tie.
BATE had stunned the Gunners in the first leg with a 1-0 win before Arsenal dispatched them via a 3-0 victory in the second leg clash played at the Emirates Stadium.
Shkrodan Mustafi and Sokratis Papasthathopoulos were amongst the goals for Arsenal during the game played on Thursday night.
On the other hand, Rennes stunned Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid 3-1 at the Estadio Benito Villamarin in Seville to seal a 6-4 aggregate win over their hosts.
Both sides had shared a thrilling six-goal salvo in the first leg of their last 32 clash played in France.
