Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar has emerged as the top defensive target for Premier League giants Manchester United ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
This is according to the publication from the Independent which claims that the Slovakian international centre back is at the top of the three-man defensive shortlist drawn by the Red Devils.
Milan Skriniar is a long-term target of Manchester United dating back to last year when former manager Jose Mourinho requested for a new centre back only for his request to fall on deaf ears with the Old Trafford bosses.
Skriniar, 24, was one of the numerous centre backs touted as a possible signing for Manchester United.
Others like Harry Maguire (Leicester City), Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham Hotspur), Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich) and Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid) were also linked the three-time European champions.
The aforementioned publication revealed that Milan Skriniar heads a three-man defensive list that includes Kalidou Koulibaly of Italian Serie A giants Napoli and Joachim Andersen of Italian club Sampdoria.
Milan Skriniar has grown to become one of the first names on the teamsheet at Inter Milan since he joined the club from Sampdoria at the start of last season and Inter Milan are seeking to tie him down to a new contract to ward off the interest of Manchester United.
