Champions League holders Real Madrid are the favourites to sign FC Porto defender Eder Militao according to reports emanating from the media in the United Kingdom.
Spanish newspaper Marca claim that the Los Merengues are leading the race for the talented player.
Manchester United are also in the running to sign the player who can play in three different positions.
Eder Militao has played a lot of games for FC Porto as a centre back this season in addition to the fact that he can also play as a defensive midfielder.
The 20-year-old started his career as a right-back.
Eder Militao has been turning heads at clubs like Real Madrid, AC Milan and Manchester United with his performances for Portuguese champions FC Porto.
It’s his first campaign with the former European champions having joined them from Brazilian Serie A club Sao Paulo last summer.
He has a £44m (€50m) release clause in the contract that took him from Sao Paulo to FC Porto at the start of this season.
The Brazilian utility defender has propelled FC Porto to the top of the league table in Portugal as well as the last 16 of the Champions League.
They trail Italian club AS Roma 2-1 ahead of the second leg in Portugal next month.
