Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is certain that the Red Devils are two or three signings away from winning major honours again.

The former Red Devils winger spoke about his former club in a recent interview monitored by football365.

Ryan Giggs also said that former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the man for the permanent manager’s job at Old Trafford and that Manchester United bosses need to back him in the transfer window.

Giggs is the Welsh national team manager having been appointed last year.

He wants transfer backing for Solskjaer so that Manchester United can start to win major honours like the Premier League title and the Champions League title.

The last Premier League triumph came in the final season of legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester United last won a league title during the 2012/13 season.

They had won their last Champions League five years earlier via a penalty shootout win over Premier League rivals Chelsea in Moscow.

Manchester United finished last season without a trophy but the Red Devils are in the hunt to win this season’s FA Cup.

They will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the quarterfinals after they defeated Chelsea 2-0 on Monday night to book their last eight spot.
