Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has been linked with a return to France with Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) said to be interested in him.
PSG were mentioned as suitors for the talented French midfielder in a deal that could be worth £60m which would be a significant raise on the transfer fee paid for the 19-year-old.
Arsenal paid just £7m to secure his signing from French second tier side Lorent at the start of the season.
Matteo Guendouzi had previously talked about the interest of PSG in an interview with Canal Football Club in December.
According to him, the French champions were interested in signing him before he joined Arsenal at the start of the season and that the French contingent at the club, while he was watching then when he was young, played a big role in his decision to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Guendouzi added that the best decision for him was an Arsenal move.
The talented French midfielder has established himself as an important squad member of the Arsenal team since his move last summer.
He has won the affection of the Arsenal fans because of his combative approach even when the Gunners are losing.
Matteo Guendouzi is gradually becoming a cult hero with the Arsenal fans.
