Former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas has slammed manager Unai Emery for his signings since he took the Gunners job at the start of the season.
According to him, his signings have been average at best before adding that only three of his transfers have been okay.
Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas was speaking about Gunners boss Unai Emery and his transfers while he was on popular English media channel Sky Sports for his punditry work.
Unai Emery was appointed by the Arsenal manager last summer as a replacement for legendary boss Arsene Wenger.
The Spaniard signed a three-year deal until 2021.
He brought in Swiss international right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer from Italian Serie A club Juventus, German national team goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira from Italian Serie A outfit Sampdoria and French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi from French second tier side Lorient in the summer.
Sokratis Papasthathopoulos also joined the Gunners from German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund last summer before Denis Suarez joined on loan from Barcelona last summer
Charlie Nicholas is adamant that only Leno, Torreira and Guendouzi are okay signings as he condemned the rest that they are not of the standard required for a club like Arsenal.
