Premier League giants Arsenal sent scouts to the Italian Serie A game between AC Milan and Cagliari to run the rule over two players according to widespread reports in the media in Italy.
Italian media portal TuttoMercadoWeb claim that Arsenal scouts were in attendance during the aforementioned game played at the San Siro on Sunday.
AC Milan ran out 3-0 winners in comfortable fashion as they boosted their top-four hopes on the Italian Serie A table with a crucial victory.
The Rossoneri took the lead in the first fifteen minutes of the game courtesy an own goal from Luca Ceppitelli before further goals from Lucas Paqueta and in-form Kryzsytof Piatek gave Milan a comprehensive victory.
Arsenal scouts checked on AC Milan winger Suso and Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.
Suso, 25, is not a newcomer to the Premier League having played for Liverpool before joining AC Milan.
He has previously been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Chelsea were mentioned as his likely destination but the Blues’ interest has waned in recent weeks.
On his own part, Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella has emerged as one of the best young players in Italian football in the last one year.
The 22-year-old has been linked with clubs like Manchester United, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
