English Premier League outfit Chelsea are set to conclude talks with Brazilian international David Luiz over a new deal to have him stay at the Stamford Bridge much longer.
Before now, there was a disagreement between the former PSG payer and the West London outfit over the number of years to be extended.
The West London side have got a policy that refuses them handing more than a 12 months contract extension to players who are over 30 years of age and that was the demand of the Brazilian central defender.
However, there are suggestions that both parties have finally come into an agreement and they will now hand David Luiz a new 12 months contract.
There is no doubt that the Brazilian international is not interested in leaving the club despite having his contract expire at the end of the season and that is why he decided to remain with the West London side.
According to Goal Brazil reports that the Blues are also not ready to part ways with Luiz because of his leadership qualities which have always helped in the dressing room.
However, it is unclear if the Blues will hand another year contract extension to Luiz after the one that is soon to be agreed upon.
