North London club Tottenham Hotspur have opted not to pursue their interest in highly rated AS Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans in this transfer window.

Football London revealed that Tielemans won’t join Tottenham Hotspur this season after they pulled out of a transfer for him.

Belgian international Tielemans has been attracting the interest of several Premier League sides like Leicester City and Manchester United.

The Foxes have already made a loan bid for the player rated at £20m.

The 21-year-old has been one of the shinning lights for a struggling AS Monaco team battling relegation in the French Ligue 1 this season upon his return from last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

Youri Tielemans was part of the Belgium squad that finished third at the tournament via a 2-0 win over the Three Lions of England in their 3rd/4th place playoff.

He has been in good form for an AS Monaco team that’s the second bottom on the French Ligue 1 table at the moment.

Tielemans has scored five goals and provided four assists for AS Monaco this season.

Monaco recently reappointed Leonardo Jardim after Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was sacked earlier this month.

Henry spent just three months as the Monaco manager before he lost his job.
