Two major Premier League sides will battle for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen in the summer.
This is according to the publication from the Daily Express which claimed that Manchester United and Chelsea are gearing themselves up for a summer battle for Danish international playmaker Christian Eriksen.
There are doubts over the future of the former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder at Tottenham Hotspur following the failure to sign a new deal.
He has a Tottenham contract that runs out at the end of next season and that has prompted transfer rumours linking him to other Premier League sides like Manchester United and Chelsea.
Champions League holders Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the talented player but recent reports claimed that the Los Merengues have been priced out of a move for him.
It was revealed that Real Madrid were ready to offer up to €84m for him but Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy won’t sell the player for anything less than €86m.
Daniel Levy has built a reputation as a shrewd negotiator in the transfer market.
Christian Eriksen could leave the club in the summer but Daniel Levy and Tottenham would be hoping that they can convince the Danish playmaker to stay at the club.
