Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has addressed transfer rumours linking top four rivals Arsenal with a move for defender Eric Bailly.

Solskjaer talked about the Gunners’ interest in Eric Bailly during his pre-match press conference on Thursday morning ahead of the FA Cup clash with Arsenal.

The North Londoners will host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night in what’s the standout fixture in the fourth round of the competition.

On Eric Bailly, interim Manchester United manager Solskjaer said that he was not surprised that Arsenal wanted to sign the Ivorian international player.

The ex-Red Devils’ striker went on to say that he can’t wait to renew his rivalry with Arsenal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the Manchester United manager  in December after he was appointed as a replacement for the sacked Jose Mourinho.

He will be hoping that his team can maintain the winning record under his watch.

Manchester United have won all the seven games played since Solskjaer became the Red Devils boss.

The aforementioned Eric Bailly could be recalled into the starting XI for the Arsenal game.

He returned to the bench for the last game against Brighton in the Premier League after his recent red card against Bournemouth.

Earlier reports claimed that Arsenal were rebuffed in the bid to sign him on loan.
