Colombian international star James Rodriguez is open to a Premier League move according to his foster father Juan Carlos Restrepo amidst transfer rumours linking him with North London giants Arsenal.

His father said this in an interview monitored by the London Evening Standard as he revealed that the player is considering his options with his long-term future at both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid seriously in doubt.

Restrepo also said that the rumours of offers from England might be true.

James Rodriguez is on a two-year loan deal at German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich from parent club Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old has six months left on the above mentioned loan deal though Bayern have the option to sign him permanently for £40m.

As things stand, Bayern won’t exercise that option.

His last start for the Bavarian giants came at the start of November though he has missed some weeks as a result of an injury.

His future at Real Madrid is bleak and the European champions are keen to rebuild their squad for the future.

Arsenal have been linked with a loan move for James Rodriguez and they could pay just £3m for the remaining six months on his loan deal at Bayern Munich.
