The initial €20m (£17.6m) valuation of the player will definitely increase with the interest of both Manchester United and Inter Milan.

The aforementioned publication also revealed that PSV are reluctant to sell him and that a possible transfer out of the club will have to wait till the end of the season.

Manchester United have sent scouts to run the rule over Steven Bergwijn on many occasions including the 2-2 draw with Emmen FC on Sunday.

The Red Devils might have to wait till the summer for a potential deal with PSV for him though it remains to be seen whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will still be the Manchester United manager.

Solskjaer has a short-term contract until this summer with the likes of Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur) and Zinedine Zidane all linked with the vacant managerial position at Old Trafford.
