Olympiacos defender Bjorn Engels has talked up his desire to join Premier League giants Arsenal.

The 24-year-old spoke about his dream move in a recent interview with French publication L’Equipe via the Daily Express.

He further revealed that his wife is a staunch supporter of Premier League leaders and that she would prefer a move to the Reds rather than his dream transfer to Arsenal.

Bjorn Engels is on loan at Greek Super League giants Olympiacos from French Ligue 1 club Stade Reims.

The Belgian centre back was previously linked with the Premier League following the interest from Merseyside giants Everton.

Bjorn Engels has not played for Belgium at the senior level though he has featured for his country at other levels especially the age grade teams.

Arsenal are in need of defensive reinforcements but the North Londoners have not expressed an interest in the Belgian defender.

The Gunners have been able to keep just four clean sheets this season with the last of those coming during the London Derby clash with Chelsea on Saturday night in the Premier League.

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-0 courtesy first goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny thereby reducing the gap to the Blues to just three points in the keenly contested race for a top-four finish at the end of the season.
