The Gunners returned to winning ways as they thrashed Chelsea 2-0 to the Emirates stadium in one of Saturday’s Premier League game.

The Blues had defeated Arsenal in Emery’s first game of the season, Maurizio Sarri’s side narrowly overcame the Gunners’ challenge 2-1 at Stamford Bridge last year.

However, yesterday’s game was totally different from the previous fixture in August 2018 as the North London club dominated the Blues for the most part of the game.

Emery’s men deservedly took the lead in the 14th minute when Lacazette powered a beautiful shot past Kepa Arrizabalaga who was busy all through the clash.

The home side doubled their lead after 25 minutes when Laurent Koscielny scored with his shoulder.

The Blues were made to chase the game before half time and they couldn’t find the back of the net throughout the mouthwatering and entertaining game.

Here are the top three talking points from the game.

There’s more to Ozil’s omission than Emery’s ‘tactical reason’

It has been long I saw Ozil play a full match. It’s either he was subbed out or he was subbed in by Emery.

In fact, it’s been a while he featured in Arsenal kit and Emery keeps providing ‘tactical reasons’ for the player’s regular omission.

In a game that’s as classic as Saturday’s fixture, every Arsenal fans would expect the German star to be in the starting lineup so as to create more chances with his creativity.

But the former Real Madrid playmaker was surprisingly left out of the starting XI which further suggested that there are off-field crises between the player and the Spanish tactician.
