Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Frankie De Jong is reportedly on the verge of joining French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
This is according to the publication from Spanish newspaper AS which claimed that PSG are close to securing a £67m transfer for the highly rated Dutch international star.
It was also revealed that the young midfielder will sign a PSG contract worth £7m annually.
PSG may have won the keenly contested race to sign Frankie De Jong ahead of several European clubs.
De Jong was previously linked with major European clubs like Manchester United (England), Barcelona (Spain), Juventus (Italy) and Manchester City (England).
The 21-year-old could be the direct replacement for wantaway PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Frenchman Rabiot is determined to leave Parc des Princes at the end of his contract in the summer.
The 23-year-old rejected several contracts offer from PSG and has already told the French capital club that he will leave at the end of his contract in June.
The young French player has been frozen out of the team as a result of his decision.
Adrien Rabiot is not expected to play for PSG again until the end of his contract.
Barcelona are favorites for him though English clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested.
