Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG are on the verge of making a big transfer raid on one of the Premier League sides following the news that they are close to signing Marko Arnautovic.
The Sun claim that West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic will join Shanghai SIPG before the end of this week in a deal worth at least £35m transfer fee.
The Hammers had earlier released a statement last week that the Austrian international player is not for sale after his agent/brother requested for the club to let him move to China.
Marko Arnautovic has been previously linked with a move to other Premier League sides like Manchester United and Chelsea.
He was heavily linked with a transfer to Old Trafford while Jose Mourinho was the Manchester United manager with reports claiming then that the Red Devils will sign him for £50m.
Arnautovic, 29, has been a key player for West Ham United since he swapped Stoke City for the Hammers in a £24m deal at the start of last season.
He has scored seven goals for West Ham United in the Premier League this season despite the fact that he has been in and out of the Hammers team because of various injury problems.
