North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are lining up one of the Gunners transfer targets as a replacement for Belgian international midfielder Moussa Dembele.
Dembele is on his way to China in the current transfer window after Spurs accepted a transfer bid for him.
TSG Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch is their number one target to replace Moussa Dembele at the club.
He has emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal in recent weeks in their bid to sign a replacement for outgoing midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
Welshman Ramsey is expected to join Italian champions Juventus at the end of this season.
The 28-year-old will join the Italian club on a free transfer this summer with his medicals scheduled to take place this weekend according to various reports in the British media.
If they can get Florian Grillitsch from German Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim, Tottenham Hotspur will go for Borussia Moenchengladbach star Denis Zakaria.
Other midfielders on their shortlist include Valencia star Geoffrey Kondogbia, Tanguy N’Dombele of Lyon FC in France, Watford midfield general Abdoulaye Doucoure, Donny van de Beek, Sander Berge as well as Morgan Sanson.
Florian Grillitsch has impressed a great deal for his Hoffenheim side this season including the UEFA Champions League.
