Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah could be an attacking option for former European champions Aston Villa according to the report from thisisfutbol.
Aston Villa are in the English Championship these days and the Midlands club is battling for Premier League promotion.
Young England striker Eddie Nketiah could be what Aston Villa need to secure a Premier League via a top six finish at the end of this Championship season.
The 19-year-old is seen as a backup option for the Gunners’ striking duo of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
He would certainly get more first team opportunities at Aston Villa though it remains to be seen whether Arsenal manager Unai Emery will be ready to sanction a loan transfer to the Championship club with the Gunners still battling for major honours in three competitions namely the Europa League, the Premier League and the FA Cup.
Eddie Nketiah has taken the place of Danny Welbeck as the North London giants’ backup striker since the former Manchester United and Sunderland forward got injured in November.
Nketiah was handed his first start of the New Year on Saturday in the FA Cup third round clash with English Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.
He was not in target but the Gunners managed a 3-0 victory to seal a spot in the fourth round of the competition.
