It has now been confirmed that English Premier League side Chelsea will no longer have Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain in this winter transfer window.

This is after the Italian outfit chief Leonardo cooled the speculations of the player’s move to Chelsea by stating that he the player is happy at the club and will not be seeking a move away from the San Siro.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sari is desperate in the search for a new striker with insinuations that he has given up on Spanish striker Alvaro Morata who has been blunt so far this season with just seven goals.

The Italian boss was, therefore, seeking for a swap deal that will have the former Real Madrid striker go the other direction so as to make the capture of Gonzalo Higuain an easy one for the West Londoners.

The Blues were also banking on the speculations that the Argentina international is unhappy at the San Siro side and will seek a move away from Milan if he has the right offer.

However, Chelsea have been dealt a huge blow and will have to look at other direction for the signature of another striker that will help ride through the second half of the season.
