Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has now emerged as one of the best stoppers in the league owing to the number of saves and clean sheets he has been able to pull so far this season.

Alisson Becker only joined the Merseyside club in the last summer from Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma with a whopping fee of £65 million and that seem to have sealed Liverpool’s defence at the moment.

With the help of the Brazilian stopper, the Reds have conceded just eight in 20 games, the best so far in the league knowing that title rivals Manchester City have conceded 16 so far this season.

Last season was Liverpool’s worst experience in terms of a goalkeeper with suggestions that they were denied the Champions League because of a bad goalkeeper.

However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has showered praise on the Brazilian international stopper, admitting that he is surprised by his performance because he never knew he was as good as that.

The German boss is of the option that Alisson Becker was not known and did not give this level of performance at Roma because of the pattern at the Italian side.

Meanwhile, Alisson Becker has been solid this season and that has been attributed to why Liverpool are sitting top in the league table.
