Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce have opened talks with Manchester United over a possible transfer for midfielder Marouane Fellaini when the January transfer window reopens.
This is according to Takvim via Caughtoffside.
It was also revealed that the Belgian international player has been told by the club that he’s surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
It’s a major turnaround for the worst for Marouane Fellaini who was a firm favourite of the sacked Jose Mourinho.
Fellaini was one of the favourite players under the managerial reign of Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
The Belgian signed for Manchester United in 2013 in a swap worth around £25m and has scored 22 goals in 176 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils.
Marouane Fellaini has failed to really convince the Manchester United fans due to his physical and robust style of play.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce were interested in the 30-year-old in the summer before he put pen to paper on a new two-year deal.
He was initially a free agent after his previous Manchester United deal expired in the summer only for the club to offer him a new contract.
Marouane Fellaini has dropped out of the Manchester United XI since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the Red Devils boss.
