Controversial midfielder Paul Pogba has been mentioned as one of four players that are immune to transfers at three-time European champions Manchester United.

As reported by the Daily Express, French World Cup winner Pogba and three others are invincible to transfers in the eye of Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward.

Apart from the 25-year-old, the forward trio of Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial also made the list.

It was revealed that Ed Woodward would be reluctant to lose the aforementioned four players.

Paul Pogba was a controversial figure under sacked Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho as both parties battled for supremacy at the club.

In the end, Pogba had the last laugh in the wake of Mourinho’s unceremonious exit from Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho paid the price for a lacklustre start to the season.

He was responsible for Manchester United’s worst start to a Premier League campaign and he has since been replaced by former club striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Paul Pogba was benched for a lot of games in the last days of Mourinho but the player has regained his form under Solskjaer with two goals and three assists in just two Premier League games.

He was heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United with clubs like Juventus and Barcelona but that’s highly unlikely after the exit of his nemesis, Jose Mourinho.
