English Premier League giants are reported to be on the verge of rekindling their interest in Ligue 1 outfits Lyon forward Nabil Fekir ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

The Reds side had made efforts to have the signature of the star player in the last summer window but it collapsed which made manager Jurgen Klopp frustrated.

The German boss is therefore ready to fly again with another bid for the player as he hopes to strengthen his squad ahead of the second stanza of the season so as to stay at the top until the end of this campaign.

Nabil Fekir has been in fine form so far this season scoring six goals in 12 games for the French side and that has got the German boss kicking again.

Liverpool are desperate to have a successful season with manager Jurgen Klopp keen to win his first title since the start of his reign at the club some three years ago.

The Reds came close last season, as they were defeated in the finals of the Champions League by Spanish giants Real Madrid and also finishing second in the Premier League behind Manchester City.
