Da Costa Rules Out January Exit For Man United Transfer Target

FC Porto president Pinto Da Costa has ruled out a January exit for defender Eder Militao amidst interests from several European heavyweights.

The Portuguese club supremo confirmed that the Brazilian international star won’t be leaving FC Porto when the transfer window reopens next month.

He made this known in an interview monitored by Portuguese news outlet O Jogo.

The report also mentioned that there are strong interests in Eder Militao from European giants Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Pinto Da Costa revealed that they would like to open contract renewal talks with the player to increase the release clause in his FC Porto.

Eder Militao has been in very good form since he joined the club during this summer’s transfer window.

His impressive outings have led FC Porto to the top of the Portuguese Super League as well as the first knockout stage of the Champions League.

FC Porto will face Italian Serie A giants AS Roma in the last 16 (first knockout stage) of the competition.

Eder Militao is a versatile defender who can play as a right-back, as a defensive midfielder or as a centre back.

The majority of his playing time at FC Porto has come as a central defender.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with the player as they try to solve their well publicised defensive problems.
