English Premier League giants Liverpool are reported not to be alone in the race for the signature of EB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to reports from Germany.
The Reds are reported to battle German outfit Bayern Munich for the star player and are believed to be ready to win the race for Timo Werner.
Timo Werner has impressed this season to have been able to get the big attention from top clubs with Liverpool ready to hand him the opportunity to win the Premier League as they now sit on top of the league table.
However, the Reds have been handed a boost following the claims by the player that he will not fancy a move to Munich after he was asked which other clubs he would like to play in the Bundesliga.
Timo Werner has a contract with the German side until 2020 which makes him available to Liverpool so that his side can cash in on him especially if they fail to convince him into a new deal.
Meanwhile, the Reds manager is not ready to leave anything to chance as he hopes to win his first title as a Liverpool manager in his three years of reign.
