Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot has set his sights on a free transfer move to Spain if reports emanating from France are anything to go by.
The controversial Frenchman has been at the centre of a contract standoff at the French capital club and it seems like the ongoing feud between player and club will soon be a thing of the past.
French media outlet Le Parisien via the Daily Express claim that Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have agreed to a deal with the young French midfielder and that he will join the Catalans once his PSG contract expires at the end of this season.
The latest development would be a big blow to the Premier League trio of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool who have all been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old.
Adrien Rabiot has six months remaining on his PSG contract and he has turned down several contract offers from the club.
PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has already told the player about the consequences of his actions.
According to him, Adrien Rabiot will be benched indefinitely.
He’s expected to be frozen out of the team until the end of his PSG contract next summer.
