Liverpool goal hero Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed his mood before coming from the bench to deliver a brace against Manchester United in the Premier League tie on Sunday evening.

The Swiss international was subbed in the game and he was able to add two goals to the one already scored by the Senegal international Sadio Mane to humble their Sunday visitors.

Speaking after the game, Xherdan Shaqiri stated that he was itching to come in from the bench and he is happy to have delved a brace in the game.

He stated that he watched his side dominate in the game before coming in and felt it was the best opportunity for him to deliver goals for his side having seen lots of opportunities in the game.

Xherdan Shaqiri expressed delight in the opportunity as it was perfect for him to have shown that he was ready to be a major part of the manager Jurgen Klopp team.

The former Stoke City star had a slow start this season as he was not well considered by the German boss but he was good to have made good use of the opportunity handed him to prove he can be a regular at Anfield.
