Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a bid for Brazilian defender Pablo ahead of the upcoming mid-season transfer window.

Pablo plays his club football for French Ligue 1 giants Bordeaux at the moment.

According to the report from The Sun via mediareferee, Brazilian international star Pablo is the latest centre-back to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Pablo, 27, became a full Brazilian international earlier this year and he has made two appearances for the five-time world champions.

He could be an option for Manchester United who is in the transfer market for defensive reinforcements to boost their ailing defence.

The Bordeaux centre-back has impressed a great deal for Bordeaux this season.

He has played in every single minute of his team’s Europa League Group Stage campaign in addition to making 13 appearances in the French Ligue 1 this season.

The Brazilian has averaged 1.1 interceptions, 1.2 tackles, 2.6 aerial duels and 7.5 clearances per league game in the new campaign.

Manchester United have been conceding cheap goals at the back and manager Jose Mourinho is keen to address the situation with the acquisition of a new centre-back when the transfer window reopens.

The Red Devils have conceded a whopping 29 goals in just 17 league games this season.
