Italian Serie A champions Juventus are eyeing a big transfer move for unsettled Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba ahead of the upcoming transfer market scheduled to begin as from the 1st of January.
Popular Italian media portal Tuttosport revealed that the Italians are plotting a £80m bid as they hope to bring the Frenchman back to the club.
Pogba had earlier left Juventus in 2016 when he signed for Manchester United in a world record bid worth £89m.
It was a significant profit for the Italian champions who had only paid a sizeable compensation fee when the 25-year-old left Old Trafford for Turin on a free transfer.
The compensation fee was due to the fact that Paul Pogba is a Manchester United Academy and he was under the age of 21 at the time of the transfer.
Since his return to Manchester United, Paul Pogba has endured a frosty relationship with Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho thus leading to rumours about his long-term future at the club.
Italian champions Juventus, French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Spanish champions Barcelona have all been mooted as potential transfer destinations for Paul Pogba.
He has one Europa League title and one Community Shield title for Manchester United.
