Manchester United have been rocked by the news that star forward Romelu Lukaku is considering a move out of the club following the breakdown of his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.
Popular English media platform The Sun say the Belgian international attacker is weighing up the possibility of securing a transfer out of Manchester United.
Lukaku, 25, was said to have reached the conclusion after he was told by Jose Mourinho that he’s not guaranteed a spot in his starting XI.
The Manchester United manager informed him about his new status shortly after he was dropped against Arsenal in their Premier League clash on Wednesday night.
Romelu Lukaku came on as a second-half substitute in the aforementioned game which ended 2-2 as Manchester United came from behind twice to earn a point at home to the Gunners.
The Belgian has struggled in his second season as a Manchester United player.
It’s a stark contrast to his debut season at Old Trafford which ended with him finishing as the Red Devils’ top scorer.
Lukaku recently ended a 13-game goal drought for Manchester United in all competitions when he scored against Southampton in their penultimate league game which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Belgian attacker has scored just five goals in all competitions in this campaign.
