French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain are reportedly making smart moves to snap up Liverpool target and Ajax starlet Frenkie de Jong ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

Liverpool were earlier reported to have beaten English Premier League rivals Man United, Man City, Tottenham and Spanish giants Barcelona to stand the chance of winning the signature of Frenkie de Jong but that seems to have changed as they now face serious threats from the French Ligue 1 giants.

With PSG set to lose Adrien Rabiot who is reported to be pushing for a move away from the club, the French side are desperate to secure a befitting replacement for him and Frenkie de Jong has been tipped as one.

Just like Rabiot, Frenkie de Jong is also a young player who has the strength and time to play enough games for the Ligue 1 champions.

Although, both PSG and Liverpool must be ready to break the bank for the player as he has shown promising talents that have increased his value in the transfer market.

The 21-year-old has got a contract with Ajax until 2022 but suggestions are that he will not see out his contract at the club.
