Arsenal Boss Identifies Three Potential Signings Ahead Of January

New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly identified three potential signings ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.

It was revealed that the Spanish tactician is keen to boost his squad as he steps up the Gunners’ bid to make a return to the Champions League.

Arsenal have missed the last two seasons of Champions League football but the appointment of Unai Emery has given the club renewed hopes that they can qualify for next season’s edition.

With this in mind, Unai Emery wants to bolster his squad in January ahead of the second half of the season.

Caughtoffside claim that the Arsenal manager has already identified three potential signings spread over the defence, midfield and attack departments.

It was further stated that Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega is one of the players that the Spaniard is targeting ahead of the January transfer window.

He also wants a new left-back that will replace first-choice Nacho Monreal on the long-term.

Unai Emery is keen to strengthen his forward options with a move for Club Brugge striker Wesley Moraes.

The Brazilian attacker has been in impressive form for his club this season after netting 10 goals in 22 appearances.

The agent/father of Arsenal defender Shkrodan Mustafi, Kuhtim has provided a transfer update on the player as the European transfer market draws to a close.

Shkrodan Mustafi has been told to look for a new club as the German international centre back is surplus to requirements at Arsenal.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has told him to look for a new club.

According to the Spanish tactician, Shkrodan Mustafi is not part of his long-term plans at the Emirates Stadium and it would be best for him to look for a new team.

In a statement released by the player’s father and agent, Kuhtim Mustafi via the UK Mirror, the ex-Valencia, Sampdoria centre back wants to stay at Arsenal but he’ll have to look for a new team since that’s the best solution for both parties (Arsenal and the player).

Mustafi has been linked with clubs like AS Monaco FC of France and AS Roma FC of Italy.

Egyptian international midfielder Mohamed ElNeny is also in the same situation like what’s obtainable with Shkrodan Mustafi.

The ex-Basel FC of Switzerland player has been told to look for a new club.

Both Mustafi and ElNeny have not been involved in the Arsenal games this season.

Nacho Monreal Agrees On Deal To Return To Spain

Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has agreed on a deal to return to the Spanish La Liga this summer.

The Premier League transfer window ended two weeks ago but Monreal can still leave Arsenal before the European transfer window ends on September 2.

According to Marca, Spanish top flight side Real Sociedad have agreed on a deal to sign him.

It was revealed that Real Sociedad have offered him a two-year deal with the option of a third year.

Nacho Monreal has one year left on his Arsenal contract at the moment.

The Gunners are keen to offload fringe players like Shkodran Mustafi and Mohamed ElNeny before the European transfer window shuts and Nacho Monreal could leave as well.

His playing time at Arsenal will almost certainly reduce with the summer signing of Scottish international left-back Kieran Tierney.

The Scottish defender was signed from Celtic FC of Scotland in a deal reported to be around £25m.

Kieran Tierney is injured at the moment but the new Arsenal defender is expected to return to action before the end of next month.

Nacho Monreal was in action for Arsenal as they lost to hosts Liverpool earlier on Saturday.

Monreal and Arsenal suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been told to drop four players for the Premier League clash at Liverpool.

Unai Emery was advised by Manchester United legend Gary Neville while he was doing his media work on Sky Sports.

According to him, Unai Emery needs to take the young players out of his starting XI for the Liverpool game.

Young players like Matteo Guendouzi, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson have featured heavily for the Gunners in their first two games of the new Premier League campaign.

According to ex-Manchester United right-back Gary Neville, Liverpool have a formidable home record spanning the last 12-18 months and what to expect from them for the Arsenal game but the same can’t be said about the Gunners.

Gary Neville said there’s still an air of unpredictability with the Arsenal squad.

He expects Granit Xhaka to come into the Arsenal XI for the Liverpool game.

The Swiss international missed the last game because of a back injury as Arsenal defeated Burnley 2-1 to make it two wins from two Premier League matches.

The star of the show was summer signing Dani Ceballos after the Spanish international provided two assists either side of the halftime interval to give the Gunners victory over Burnley.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has narrated how he impacted the career of Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang when they were at German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund together.

Klopp talked about the Arsenal striker during his last press conference ahead of the Premier League meeting between Liverpool and the Gunners.

Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday evening with the hope of making it three wins out of the first three Premier League games of this season.

Arsenal also have the opportunity to achieve the same target having won their first two league games.

Jurgen Klopp revealed how he transformed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from a winger to a lethal striker.

The Liverpool manager signed Aubameyang for Borussia Dortmund from French top flight club Saint Etienne in the summer of 2013 and they were together at the Signa Iduna Park for two years before Klopp left in the summer of 2015.

Jurgen Klopp became the Liverpool manager in October 2015 and he has been able to build a title-winning squad on Merseyside.

For Aubameyang, the Gabonese international star was signed by Arsenal in January 2018 for a then club-record fee of £56m.

The transfer record has since been broken by fellow African player Nicholas Pepe whom the Gunners signed for £72m this summer.

Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has revealed his toughest opponent in the Premier League.

The Dutch international centre back disclosed the best opponent he has faced in a chat with British media outlet TalkSport.

According to him, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is the toughest opponent he has faced.

Virgil Van Dijk spoke about his most difficult opponent ahead of the blockbuster Premier League meeting between his team and Arsenal.

The former Groningen defender has been a big asset to Liverpool since joining the club from fellow Premier League side Southampton in January 2018.

Liverpool paid a then world-record fee of £75m to sign Van Dijk thus making him the most expensive defender in the history of world football until this month.

The record was broken by the £85m transfer of England international Harry Maguire from Leicester City to Manchester United.

Virgil Van Dijk was a key player for Liverpool who reached the Champions League final in his first season at the club.

Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final.

Van Dijk and Liverpool went one better in his second season after they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 to win the Champions League title.
