Chelsea star Marcos Alonso has made a big claim on the chances of his side winning a silverware this season despite the loss in form.
The West London club had a flying start of the season by going unbeaten in all competitions until last weekend when they were humbled by Tottenham in the North London derby.
Again, the Maurizio Sarri men fell again to Wolves in the midweek Premier League encounter which ensured a drop in six points.
The West London side are now 10 points behind league leaders which raises fears that it could increase when they clash.
However, Marcus Alonso said his side cannot be written off despite the defeat as there are still enough games, stressing that it is too early to call.
He admitted that his side are disappointed at the latest results but vowed they will bounce back not minding who the opponents are.
Alonso therefore, stated that his side will only work harder to ensure a win in subsequent games.
Meanwhile, manager Maurizio Sarri has hinted that he will not rush into the winter transfer market but will observe the issues in the team and proffer solutions.
The West London club will hope to turn things around when they meet City at the weekend.
