The Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton ended in a drama after the last minute’s goal scored by the Reds to secure a slim 1-0 win in the Premier League game on Sunday.

In a bizarre reaction to Divock Origi’s goal, the German manager was seen running into the pitch before the final whistle to celebrate the goal by hugging goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

This came as a surprise to many knowing that the manager ought not to have invaded the pitch as it was disrespectful to his opponents.

However, speaking after the game, the former Borussia Dortmund boss claimed to have apologised to the Everton boss, adding that he hailed the boss for the good work he has done with the solid Everton team.

In what turned out to be a surprise to many, Everton boss Marco Silva stated that Klopp never apologized to him as claimed but hints that he has no issue with all that happened.

According to him, he never saw the reaction of the German boss which means he will not be able to make any judgement on the issue as expected.

Meanwhile, Everton’s goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has apologized to his colleagues as he takes the blame for his side’s defeat.
