Arsenal are reportedly set to open talks with Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira about a summer move to the club.
This is according to the report from UOL via football.london.
The Gunners have repeatedly been linked with the player who’s said to have received offers from other interested clubs like Chelsea and French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Andreas Pereira has less than a year left on his current deal with Manchester United though the Red Devils could activate the clause of an extra year to extend his contract until the end of the 2019/20 season.
He would leave on a free transfer next summer if Manchester United opt against the idea of exercising the aforementioned clause.
Arsenal are in search of midfield reinforcements in the New Year with two players on their way out of the team.
Egyptian international player Mohamed ElNeny has reportedly fallen out of favour with Arsenal manager Unai Emery.
He could move away from the Emirates Stadium in January with Premier League side Leicester City interested in signing him.
Aaron Ramsey could follow ElNeny out of Arsenal after the club failed to offer the Welsh international player a new contract.
The initial contract offer given to him was withdrawn by the Gunners.
