Gary Cahill

There are fears that the time of England international Gary Cahill at the English Premier League outfit Chelsea is finally winding down.

The legendary player was snubbed when the West London outfit faced Malmo in the Europa League clash where Chelsea secured a 2-1 win in the game.

Gary Cahill has been out of favour at the Stamford Bridge but it was expected that he be handed a playing time in the European League game but that did not happen and the player was stunned.

The Telegraph reports that Gary Cahill is disappointed at the snub by the Italian boss with claims that he is being made to feel like a ghost in the team.

It has been revealed that Gary Cahill has not been having a talking relationship with the former Napoli coach and that hints that his contract with the club will wind down without being renewed.

Gary Cahill has a six months deal remaining at the Stamford Bridge and there is no indication that he would be handed a new deal with no talks on the table.

However, it is expected that the former Bolton defender finds his way out of the club at the end of the season with a number of interests already on the table.

The latest report claims that the English Premier League outfit Liverpool have scheduled work for the expansion of the Anfield and it is suggested that it could have an effect on their transfer policy and dealings.

It is claimed that the project is worth £175 million which means the club might have to let go of some of their players and ensure a balance so as to get it done.

This is coming after it was reported by the Italian press that Serie A champions Juventus are already out to secure the signature of Egyptian international Mohamed Salah.

The Serie A champions are known to have the capacity to spend big after affording Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo who is arguably one of the most expensive players and now they have been able to capture Wales international Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal who will earn £400,000-a-week.

However, securing the signature of Mohamed Salah would not be a big deal for Juventus knowing that they are out to dominate by having the presence of stars in the team.

Suggestions are that the development from the Reds could force them into accepting a bid for Mohamed Salah and getting Paolo Dybala in exchange, knowing that the Juventus player earns half of what Salah gets at Anfield.

It was earlier feared that English Premier League outfit Liverpool cannot handle the pressure of being league leaders but that has been dismissed by former club striker John Aldridge.

Suggestions are that the reason why Liverpool failed to record a win against Leicester City and West Ham United with both games ending in a draw was that they were overwhelmed.

Had the Red won two of the games, they would have comfortably had a 7 points lead in the Premier League table ahead of Man City which would have been a major boost to their title bid.

In his claim, John Aldridge stated that his former side can cope with the pressure because the club have seen more of it in the past and were able to see past it.

He noted that the club have got a history which is expected to influence the current team, stressing that his former can still win the league this season.

John Aldridge noted that all that is needed by his former side is to keep winning games and not bother about the distractions from other clubs.

However, John Aldridge said the standard of the league has been increased by Liverpool and Man City in the last years.

It is not clear if English Premier League outfit Liverpool will secure new additions and in which of the positions ahead of the coming summer window.

The Reds spent big in the last summer window, bringing in Virgil Van Dijk from EPL side Southampton, Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker from Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma with some eyebrows raised on the amount spent to have the players join the Anfield.

There is no doubt that both the defence and the goalkeeping department have been solved with these players while the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have all established themselves in the team which makes it difficult for anyone to have them displaced.

No wonder, former Liverpool player Michael Own advised his former side to move in for strikers who can only come in as a cover for the players and not to replace them.

However, Liverpool are known to have one of the best team in Europe but that does not mean manager Jurgen Klopp will not give the summer transfer window a try but who he will be moving for would be the biggest dilemma owing to the already established standard and quality at the Merseyside club.
